Abstract

This article examines the social spaces and sense of security of individuals experiencing homelessness. To gain insight, 15 interviews were conducted with those affected, which were then condensed using thematic analysis. Access to the field was facilitated through homelessness support facilities. The findings indicate that the interviewees were under significant socio-spatial pressure due to the loss of housing, which had a tangible impact on their physical and socio-spatial well-being. The everyday lives of those affected are characterized by numerous experiences of victimization and social exclusion, which demands considerable coping skills from those affected by homelessness.
